Phyllis Daugherty Mathis May 15, 1943 - April 28, 2015 Phyllis Mathis, 71, of Joshua passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Joshua. She was born May 15, 1943 in Terrell, Texas to Chester and Alene Hector Daugherty. Phyllis worked as a waitress and was a retired health caregiver. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survived by her children; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; siblings, Jo Beth, Melissa and Mark and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Tamara Casebier and brothers, Alan and Tommy Daugherty. No services are scheduled at this time.
