Bio

Stanley M. Sebetka, Jr., age 69 of Marshalltown, died at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral Services at the chapel of the Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home. Burial in the St. Wencelaus Cemetery, rural Clutier, Iowa. Born on February 1, 1939, in Tama County, Stan was the son of Stanley and Lucille (Sevcik) Sebetka. He grew up in the area of his birth and graduated from Toledo High School. He honorably served our country in the Army Reserves. On May 7, 1960, he married Donna Werner and the couple later divorced. Stan had been employed by the Bell Telephone Company and later at the Marshalltown Fire Department. More recently, he was employed at Fisher Controls and as a real estate agent for Ed Meade Realty. He was a member of St. Mary's Church. Surviving are a son, Douglas Sebetka and a daughter, Renee Mathews, both of Marshalltown; and three grandchildren, Tyler, Alyssa, and Olyvia Mathews; and his sister, Monica Funke. In eternal life, Stan joins his parents; sister, Angie Collins; brother, Lawrence; infant brother, Maurice; and an infant granddaughter, Bailey Mathews.
