Bio
Leo Bringhurst, 78, of Toquerville, died of causes incident to age Wednesday, July 23, 1975 in a Salt Lake City hospital. Mr. Bringhurst was born Saturday, January 23, 1897 in Toquerville to William Augustus and Mary Janette Stapley Bringhurst . On Thursday, December 10, 1925 he married Hilda Hall in the St. George LDS Temple, and she died Wednesday, April 2, 1975. Mr. Bringhurst had been mayor of Toquerville. Survivors included two sons and two daughters, Mrs. Reese (Luzon) Glines, American Fork; Wayne H. Bringhurst, Fontana, California; Mrs. Emron ( Melva ) Jensen, Ogden; and Antone H. Bringhurst, Logan; 25 grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Mrs. Vera Thurber and Mrs. Arvilla Jepperson , both of Provo, and Samuel Bringhurst , Toquerville. Friends could call at the Spilsbury Mortuary in Hurricane, Washington County, Friday, July 25, 1975 from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the Toquerville LDS Ward Chapel Saturday, July 27, 1975 prior to services. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, 1975 at 2 p.m. in the Toquerville LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in Toquerville Cemetery.
