Bio

Anna Schoolcraft Aug 9,1921-April 18,2015 Anna Schoolcraft, 93, passed away at her home in Gurley, Nebraska on April 18, 2015. Memorial services will be held April 22 in the Dalton Assembly of God Church. Anna was born on August 9, 1921, to Lilly and Edward Caywood in Broken Bow, Nebraska. She attended school there, graduating in 1939. In July of 1942, she married Jerry Schoolcraft. While living in Washington State, she worked as a riveter for the Boeing Corporation. When the family moved to rural Gurley, Anna was a homemaker and worked outside the home as a housekeeper for numerous people. Almost daily she worked for the Ted Egging household and was their Annie.Whether working in the kitchen at church camp, teaching at Sunday school, being a Boy Scout leader or chasing one of her own, it was apparent she loved children. She enjoyed gardening, coffee with her sisters, but what she loved most in life was the Lord. She gave her heart to the Lord at a camp meeting in Wyoming as a young girl and has never faltered. She was a praying mother, friend and a true witness to all.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Jerry, sisters: Edna Sprenger and husband Keith, Shirley Koppisch and husband Ernie and Fern Heitz; sister-in-law Joan Amsberry and brother-in-laws Mac McElroy and Archie Howle.
