Daily Herald, The (Columbia, TN) - Tuesday, May 26, 2009 Imogene Kelley Thacker was born May 30, 1941, in Wayne County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Burbin C. and Viola Ray Kelley. She was united in marriage to Ernest Thacker Jr. on June 2, 1962. Mrs. Thacker was a service representative with the Social Security Administration. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clifton, Tenn., and a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Thacker departed this life on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at her home in Spring Hill at the age of 67 Years, 11 Months, 21 Days. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Thacker Jr. of Spring Hill; a daughter, Karissa Thacker of N.Y.; three sisters, Nancy Morehead of Chapel Hill, Shirley Kelley of Waynesboro, Margaret Horn of McMinnville; nieces and nephews; and her special pets, Sam and Josie. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thacker was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Lay. Services were held on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Collinwood, Tenn., with Randall Runions officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Gardens in Collinwood, Tenn., with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Nephews served as pallbearers..
