Claude Lee Jenkins Funeral services for Claude Lee Jenkins were held at the Palacios Funeral Home at 10 a. m. Wednesday, May 16, with the Rev. J. R. Gwin officiating. Interment was in the Palacios Cemetery. Son of the late James Russell and Evelyn McAllister Jenkins, he was born February 2, 1903 and died at his home at 416 Ritchie Street Monday, May 14. He had been a resident of Palacios for 15 years and was a retired dragline operator for Parker Bros. Survivors include seven daughters, Dorothy Sharber of Garland, Evelyn Jones of Bay City, Betty McFarlain and Allie Jean Hamlin of Palacios, Mary Jane King of Longview, Rose Ann Bankston of Blessing and Edith Littlejohn of Houston; four sons, Claude Jenkins of Markham, Charles Jenkins of Palacios, Roy Jenkins of Garland and Earl Jenkins of Greenville; one sister, Elona Cruz of Oyster Creek; five brothers, Grady Jess Jenkins, Lon Jenkins and Joe Jenkins of McKinney, Raymond Jenkins of Nevada and Leonard Jenkins of Houston; 25 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
