Bio

Son of Steve and Mary (Klekar) Kadlecek. Marriage: Viola Kristek. He was captain of the Corpus Christi Fire Station at Cuddihy Field and had been a member of the permanent fire department. He received his early education in the public schools in Shiner, and later attended Morrison High School in Pennsylvania where he graduated in 1926. He returned to Texas and moved to Corpus Christi where he worked as a longshoreman and then as a salesman for the Budweiser Distributors, joining the fire department in 1939. He is survived by his widow, the former Viola Kristek of Weimar, and two children, Marion and Virginia. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Mary Kadlecek and a brother, Alfons, both of Corpus Christi.
