Dorothy Frances Graham Sheffy, 90, of Dimmitt passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Tulia Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be at the First United Methodist Church of Dimmitt at 10:00 AM on Tuesday with Rev. Karan Young and Rev. T.C. Broom officiating, burial to follow at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dimmitt. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Dorothy was born on January 12, 1924 eight miles east of Dimmitt to Bill and Rachel Graham, Sr. She married Ted K. Sheffy in 1946 in Dimmitt. She attended Baylor University. She taught first grade in Dimmitt for 27 years. She was a life- long member of the First United Methodist Church of Dimmitt where she was active in many areas. She is survived by 2 daughters; Beth Wallace of Tulia and Virginia Malone and her husband Kevin of Plainview and a daughter-in-law Karen Sheffy of College Station. 6 grandchildren and many loving great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Rachel Graham, her husband Ted and a son Graham Sheffy and a brother and sister-in-law Billy and Katy Graham. The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Dimmitt, 110 SW 3rd, Dimmitt, Texas 79027 or to a favorite charity.
