PEORIA -- Anna Maurine Dibler, 71, of 2818 W. Antoinette St. died at 12:36 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. Born Sept. 11, 1926, in Shawnee, Okla., to Ullie and Anna Ellison Melot, she married Elmer Dibler on Nov. 18, 1945, in Oklahoma. Elmer survives her. Also surviving are four sons, Steve of Creve Coeur, Danny and Daryl, both of East Peoria, and David of Kansas City, Mo.; one daughter, Annita Simpsen of Peoria; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ullie Melot of Tecumseh, Okla., and Matthew Melot of Coyote, Calif.; and three sisters, Billie Jean Johnson of Lexington, Okla., Elizabeth Holland of Panama, Okla., and Maxine Forester of Willows, Calif. She worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 16 years, retiring from custodial services in 1988. She was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 8662. There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will be accorded. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
