Bio
Mr. Billie Bob Collier, 92, of Corsicana, died Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Navarro Regional Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Roberts and Rev. Kathy Sims Collier officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park in Corsicana. He was born in Corbet, Texas, to the late Thomas P. Collier and Myrtle L. Armstrong Collier. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1946. He and his wife of 71 years, Mary Ruth Ivey Collier, were the owners of Busy Bee Grocery and Busy Bee Auto on South 15th in Corsicana. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Lee Collier. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth; sons, Bryan Collier and wife, Jill, of Corsicana, Gary Collier and wife, Kathy, of Heath, TX, and Terry Collier, of The Woodlands, TX; grandchildren: Alan Collier, Kristi Cruz, Joshua Collier, Amber Antillon, Jordan Collier; several great-grandchildren; niece, Eleanor Statham and husband, Bill, of Corsicana.
