Bio
Cora was born January 13, 1929, in Maud, Texas, to Buck and Lucille (Dalton) Mathis. She married Dick Smith on June 1, 1944, in Rockwall, Texas. She worked at Texas Instruments from 1958 - 1969 in North Dallas and for TRW Credit Bureau as a Credit Analyst until she retired in 1993. Cora later worked for Weight Watchers and Lute Riley Honda in Richardson. She lived in Richardson from 1959 until she moved to Bowie in 2004. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Pleasant Grove and attended First Free Will Baptist Church since moving to Bowie. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick Smith; son, Ronald Smith; daughter, Susan Allen; brother, Obed Mathis; sister, Dorothy Mathis; son-in-law, Paul Allen.
