Mary Helen Graham was born November 2, 1932, on Bluff Creek, Stephens County, Oklahoma, to J.C. "Buck" and Ella Estelle (Burton) Graham. She married Darwin Ward, September 16, 1949 in Wichita Falls, TX; he preceded her in death on July 18, 1980. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Ella Graham, her brothers, Bob Graham, Paul Graham, Tip Graham, Jim Graham and Jess Graham and her sisters, Miller Jean Goodrich and Kathryn Hill. Pallbearers will be John Maxwell, Jack "Tuck" Maxwell, Johnny Maxwell, Mickey Maxwell, John Brewer Graham and Mike Graham. Honorary Pallbearers are Danny Glover, Joe Graham, Dean Graham, Daniel Harrison, Randall Burton and Pee Wee Riley. Mary was a very special and beautiful person and loved God and loved to study the Word of God. As part of her study of the Bible, she especially held dear the Jewish People. She raised her family while actively participating with Darwin on their farm and ranch. In 1976, she got her real estate license and began selling real estate with Virginia Crownover at Marlow Real Estate. She said she loved the thrill of making a sale. She later sold furniture for Clyde and Tommy Edwards at Edwards Home Furnishings. She loved everyone she worked with and had many special memories working at Edwards. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and attended regularly while she could still get around well. She later attended Ray of Hope Church and loved how the "Holy Spirit" was always discussed in Pastor Mike's sermons. We would also like to offer a special thank you to the people at Chisholm Trail Hospice and Carolyn, Deborah, and Lisa in particular. Last but certainly not least, we want to acknowledge the most wonderful and best caregiver we could've ever hoped for, Christie Nichols. You were our angel sent by God, whom mother loved dearly. You're like a fourth daughter to her and we love you like a sister. You'll always be a part of our family, may God bless you.
