Clarence Adolph Weishuhn, 96, of La Grange, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015. Clarence was born in Giddings, Texas on January 29, 1919, the son of Edward and Selma (Sidler) Weishuhn. Clarence served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a Phillips Distributor and retired in May, 1982 with 36 years of service. He was an avid gardener and loved hunting and fishing. He also loved cooking and preparing meals for his family. He is survived by son: Charles Weishuhn and wife, Kathy, of La Grange, Texas; daughter, Beatrice Weishuhn of West Virginia; son, James Weishuhn and wife, Carolyn, of La Grange, Texas; three step-children: Leroy and Betty Jo Baca, Rufus and Lydia Baca, and Rosalie Baca; sister, Bernita Wieder of Alvin, Texas; seven grandchildren: Michael Polasek, Nicole Weishuhn, Jaye Weishuhn, John Weishuhn, Steven Hunt, Megan Hunt and Aaron Hunt; fourteen step-grandchildren: Daniel, Allen, Richard, Juanita, Naomi, Denver, Cassie, Casey, Marley, Collin, Debra, Bruce, Kelly and Tyler; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Agnes Weishuhn, who passed away in 1966; second wife, Bernadette “Bernice” Weishuhn, who passed away in 2002; one step-daughter, Susan Mize; four brothers: Vermont, Victor, Lawrence and Aaron Weishuhn; and one sister, Madeira. Visitation will be held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family will receive friends and a rosary will be recited. Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 580 E. Pearl St., La Grange, Texas. Burial will follow at La Grange City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Combined Community Action, 165 W.
