Bio
Mary Ellen Guedry McCreight 74 of Hull, Texas, went to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday April, 4, 2015. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday April, 8, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Calvary Tabernacle Ministries 28333 FM 770 Batson, with Reverend Tolbert Hudspeth and Reverend Ronald Bordes officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery of Batson. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday April 7, 2015 from 6:00P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Calvary Tabernacle Ministries. A native of Batson, she had lived in Hull for fifty-eight years and was a homemaker. She enjoyed and loved being with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband A.W. McCreight; parents Eugene Guedry Sr. and Gladys Kindle; and great-grandson J.P. Lupher. Survivors include son Weldon McCreight and wife Renee of Humble; daughters Laura Crawford and husband Wayne of Batson and Jo Beth Dowdell and fiancé Ricky Fregia of Hull; brothers Eugene Guedry Jr. of Rowlett, Texas, and John Guedry and wife Teri of Huntsville; sister Dorothy Hobbs and husband Raymond of Batson; grandchildren Rashona McCreight, Derek McCreight, and fiance' Christina Ener, Hunter Dowdell, Kelly Lupher and husband Jake; great-grandchildren Taylor McCreight, Nicholas McCreight, and Jace Lupher along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Serving as pallbearers are Bobby Chesson, Jacob Bordes, Jerid Bordes, Ricky Fregia, David Meadows, and Harvey Taylor. Honorary pallbearers are Derek McCreight and Hunter Dowdell.
