Bio

Louis William Herbillon was the son of Andrew G. and Mary Katherine (Barre') Herbillon. He was born in New Albany, Indiana. He enlisted in the army on June 6, 1917 and was honorably discharged on August 8, 1919. He was in Company A, 46th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division which was organized on July 18th, 1918 at Camp Sheridan, Alabama . The 9th Infantry Division was in training in the United States when World War I came to an end and did not deploy. The 1930 census shows him to be a planerman at a stone mill in Lawrence County, Indiana. He was married to Della Herbillon of Bedford.
