Bio

VICTORIA - Patsy Frances McKissick (Keszler, Ellis) Frick, 76, passed into Heaven, Sunday, March 29, 2015. She is survived by her sons, Patrick Keszler of Victoria, Charles 'Bubba' Frick of Markham, Joe Frick and Otto Frick; as well as her precious granddaughter, Patricia 'Trisha' Keszler of Atlanta, Georgia; and brother, Jimmy McKissick of Midfield, Texas. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, George Boone Jr. and Frances Vacek McKissick; her brother, Walter B. McKissick; and her husband, J.O. Frick. Patsy was born in Ashby, Texas on May 18, 1938. She was a graduate of Tidehaven High School, where she was active in sports, played bass saxophone, was a cheerleader, and participated in various clubs. She later received her cosmetology license in Houston. Patsy loved her family, life, and animals. She never met a stranger. She raised and showed Dachshunds, Terriers, Shepherds, and Rottweilers. During her life, Patsy traveled to California, Africa, Greece, Malta, the Arab States, and through Europe. As an entrepreneur/business woman, Patsy managed several clubs, owning one with her parents, where she enjoyed her music and dancing. Patsy and late husband, J.O. Frick, businessman/rice farmer, opened Tin Top General Store in Collegeport, Texas. Patsy loved the water, the beach, and boating. She enjoyed hunting in Mexico, West Texas, and the hill country. Having discovered her talent as an artist and crafter, Patsy liked traveling and socializing in the artist/merchant realm. Patsy was always concerned, and cared for others. She trusted in Jesus to take care of her while she looked after the concerns of others. Her last two years in a nursing/rehabilitation center were spent enjoying the residents around her and playing bingo and dominos. If you wanted to experience unconditional love, you need only get close to her. Her love, smile, and care will be greatly missed. A memorial service and interment will be held the latter part of May at Hawley Cemetery, Blessing, Texas
