Bio

Betty Jean McDonald, 85, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away on March 27, 2015, at Baylor Scott and White hospital in Waxahachie. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2015, at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, March 30, 2015, at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel with Mr. Walter Buchanan officiating. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2015, Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas. Betty was born in Dallas, Texas, to the late James Loyd McDonald and Anna Lee Youngblood McDonald and resided in Vickery, Texas, which is now Dallas. Betty was retired from Continental Insurance and moved to Waxahachie in 2006. She was a faithful member of the Northside Church of Christ. She loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own children. She was always involved in their lives. Survivors include her sister, Jan Zalkovsky and her husband, Bill, of Waxahachie; nephew, Aaron Zalkovsky, of Waxahachie; nieces, Janelle Zalkovsky, of Bedford, and Ashleigh Curry and her husband, Jimi, of Lewisville; great-nieces, Tiffany Simpson and Destiny Miles; great-nephews: Ethan Zalkovsky, Jackson Curry, and Austin Curry; and many friends.
