Samuel Benjamin Johnson was the son of Napoleon Bonaparte Johnson and Alice Cordelia Thornton Johnson, born 12 Feb 1880, in Louisiana. Sam B's family moved to Texas in Jan of 1895. He married Sulula Ida Dean on 30 Dec 1908 in Montgomery County, Texas. Sam B and Sulula Johnson had these children: Milton Eugene Johnson 1909 – 1939 Weldon S Johnson 1911 – Eunice Johnson 1913 – Edna Melissa Johnson 1914 – 2006 Alice Johnson 1917 – 2003 Joe Dean Johnson 1919 – Sam B Johnson died on 3 Nov 1920, in Honea, Montgomery, Texas. His death certificate said he was buried in Conroe, Montgomery Co., Texas. His parents and wife are buried in the Copeland Chapel Cemetery which is in Conroe.
