Bio
Mr. Marvin Dee Hudson, age 82 of Winnsboro, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Winnsboro. Marvin was born in Dallas on April 17, 1932 to the late Jewell Dee and Ruby Davis Hudson. He was retired from Rockwell International after 35 years; he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and the local American Legion. Marvin enjoyed various hobbies, including the Annual Rattlesnake Roundups in Sweetwater, TX., scuba diving, fishing, cutting a rug with his lovely wife and daughters, arrowhead and fossil hunting throughout the East Texas area, sharing stories of his time as a Navy Parachute Rigger for The Blue Angels, and spending time with his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Marvin Dee Hudson, Jr.; grandson, Justin Dee Hudson; sisters,Joyce Crossman, Carole Bolton; brothers, Virgil and Jerry Hudson. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mrs. Frances (Herring) Hudson of Winnsboro; daughters, Debra Swaner of Winnsboro, Marsha Hudson of Salem, OR., Vivian Hudson of Westbrook, CT.; sister, Shirley Zetty and husband Relzy of Carrollton; a granddaughter, Genevieve Gilbert of Pagosa Springs, CO., and numerous nieces and nephews.
