Bio

A private ceremony was held for Brenda Benham Reed, age 58, who passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at her residence in Lafayette, LA. Interment followed in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette. Brenda was born December 21, 1956 in New Orleans and was a long-time resident of Acadiana. She was a lover of music, aviation, bowling and traveling with her family. Most of all, she loved helping others when she was able. Brenda was survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Roderick Reed of Lafayette; two sons, two daughters, two brothers, six grandchildren, and numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John Edward Benham; her mother, Betty Jane Hugghins Benham and her sister, Barbara A. Benham.
