Services for Gene Harvey, 83, of Clovis will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at the Chapel, 1500 Thornton with the Rev. Dick Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Terrace Cemetery in Farwell, TX. Pallbearers include his grandsons: Roger Robinson, Mark Harvey, Shane Andes, Ronnie Robinson, Cole Andes and Jay Jenkins. Terry Robinson, Marla Golladay and Mattie King will serve as honorary pallbearers. Gene died Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the Retirement Ranch of Clovis. Gene was born April 30, 1931, in Muleshoe, TX to Robert Cecil and Eula Florence (Garth) Harvey. He graduated from Muleshoe High School in 1950, where he was very active in football and track. He married Allene Heard on Mach 10, 1951, in Muleshoe, TX. Gene was a job superintendent in the construction industry and a member of the Carpenter Local 1245. A lifetime member of the NRA, Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing, music and collecting guns and knives. Survivors include his wife Allene; three daughters, Rhonda (Mike Robinson of Bushland, TX, Sondra "Sam" (Rick) Andes, of Clovis, NM and Genia (Matt) Jenkins of Seminole, TX; two brothers, Fred Harvey of Amarillo, TX and Leon (Felicia) Harvey of Dexter, NM; an aunt, Sophia Gregory of Borger, TX; nine grandchildren, Terry Robinson, Roger (Sheri) Robinson, Mark (Bonnie) Harvey, Shane (Christina) Andes, Ronnie Robinson, Marla (Matt) Golladay, Cole (Colie Andes, Mattie (Cody) King, Jay Jenkins and 14 great grandcvhildren. Gene was preceded by a son, Dennis Harvey, his parents, Cecil and Florence Harvey and one brother, RObert "ob" Harvey. The family request memorial contributions to the Baptist Children's Home 2200 S Avene I, Portales, NM 88130 or the American Heart Association.
