Michael John Schilling, age 39, passed away November 8, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a brief illness. Born June 12, 1962 to Albert E. and Colleen Thomas Schilling in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lived in Sandy, Utah and graduated from Alta High School. Married Jan Parker in August 1982, later divorced. Married Cheryl Belcher in October 1999, later divorced. Mike loved the outdoors, his hobbies were hunting, fishing and four wheeling in Moab. But his main "hobby" was his children. He worked in the glass industry for many years and established his own glass business. Mike had a great sense of humor and loved to joke and tease. Survived by his children Jessica, Justin, and Katie and granddaughter Bella; his father Al and stepmother, Valerie Pratt Schilling; sister Penny M. Schilling; brothers and sisters-in-law Lynn and Jodi Schilling, and Mark and Rita Schilling; stepbrothers Jeffrey and Douglas Wagner; stepsisters Julie Maynard and Wendy Arrington. Preceded in death by his mother, Colleen. Services will be 2 p.m. Tues. Nov 13, Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 1920 E. 10600 S. Friends may call at the mortuary Mon. 6-8 p.m. and again Tues. one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens. Published 11 November 2001 in The Salt Lake Tribune (UT)
