From Contributor: Iowa Girl (49254126): Council Bluffs, Iowa Nonpareil Dec. 22, 1999 Minden - Graveside service for Merle Lamp, 81, of Minden will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Minden Cemetery with the Rev. David Borden officiating. Mrs. Lamp died Dec. 20 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. She was born in Silver City. She was a homemaker, was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and was member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Minden. Mrs. Lamp was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin W., in May 1981. Survivors include a daughter, Valerie Harman, and husband, Eldon; a son, Dallas J. Sanders; a sisters, Jean Boone; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandson, nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 8 at the Minden United Church of Christ. Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be offered to Minden Emergency Services.
