In Memory of Eunice Maxine Eller January 1, 1923 ~ March 13, 2017 Eunice Maxine Chase Lindsay Eller was born in York, Nebraska on January 18, 1923, to Charles and Stella (Henry) Chase and passed away peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2017, at the Fairview Manor in Fairmont, Nebraska at the age of 94. She graduated with the class of 1942 from Friend High School. Eunice was united in marriage to Dana Lindsay in 1942 and to this union three sons, Bob, Don and Ken were born. Together they made their home in Friend, Nebraska, and Eunice began a long career in taking care of the elderly by working at the Annex, and later at the Warren Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Friend and while living in David City, Nebraska, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Eunice was blessed with a second marriage to Leo Eller in 1985 and she moved to David City where they made their home. After Leo passed away in 2015, Eunice returned to Friend. She was a resident of the Friend Manor until it closed and recently transferred to Fairview Manor in Fairmont. Through the years, Eunice loved shopping, checking out the yard sales for bargains, playing Bingo, and collecting porcelain dolls and angels. She is survived by: sons, Bob and Jackie Lindsay, Don and Peggy Lindsay, Ken and Barb Lindsay; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husbands, Dana in 1982, and Leo in 2015; siblings; and grandson, Jeffrey Lindsay in 2011.
