'Dick' Andersen BLOOMFIELD - Richard A. "Dick" Andersen, 69, of Bloomfield died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at the Minneapolis Veterans Home in St. Paul, Minn. Services will be at 2 p.m, Saturday at Ord Memorial Chapel in Ord. Burial will follow. Mr. Andersen was born Nov. 28, 1933, at Ord to Vernon and Vera Andersen. Survivors of the immediate family include three daughters and two son-in-laws, Pamela and Wayne Tennant of Calgary, Canada, Tracy and Doyle Olson of Savage, Minn., and Shelley Andersen of Sandpoint, Idaho. Those also left to cherish his memory are a grandson, Brad Tennant, and four granddaughters, Stefanie and Samantha Tennant and Ellen and Lillee Olson. Also, two sisters, Judi Rideout of Palmer, Alaska, and Betti Moritz of Osmond. After graduating from Ord High School, he joined the military and served in Korea. Returning to Minnesota, he married Nancy Swenson. He attended Kearney and Bemidji State Colleges and earned a degree in chemistry. He and Nancy soon moved out to Sandpoint, Idaho, where he was hired as a chemistry teacher. Dick was also interested in the restaurant business. He started Riccardo's (for Richard) Pizzeria and the Chateau Supper Club in the late '60s and early '70s. He moved back to Bloomfield and was married to Rita Burbridge for 10 years. He started Moby's Steak and Seafood restaurant in the '80s. From there, he made the Moby's Season Salt that is still being sold today. Dick is preceded in death by his parents.
