Howe Merrill Woodhouse, 74, of Pleasant Grove, died September 23, 1996, at his home. He was born February 19, 1922, a son of James Merrill and Norma Annie Howe Woodhouse in American Fork, Utah. He married Florence May Urie December 31, 1946, in Elko, Nevada. Howe loved sports and had many athletic accomplishments all through his school years. He was well known in his community and had many friends. He was a member of operator engineers Local Union #3 where he operated a crane. He also worked at Geneva Steel and many other manufacturing companies. He also served in World War II as a scout in the 95th division of the U.S. Army. Howe will be missed by many and was loved by all that knew him. Survivors include three sons and one daughter Randy (Anne) Woodhouse, Greg (Lori) Woodhouse, James Woodhouse, Jane (Carl) Dice. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, one brother and two sisters: Bud Beck, Norma Wilson, and Ruth Howe. He was preceded in death by his mother. Norma Howe. Graveside services will be held Friday September 27, 1996 at 1:30 p.m. in the American Fork Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Olpin Family Mortuary 494 S 300 East in Pleasant Grove. Military rites will be performed by VFW District #4.
