Bio
Robert 'Smoky' K Truhlar, age 89, a man of few words, of Bloomington, on April 12, 2014 at the MN Veterans Home - Minneapolis. Proud to have served in the Air Force during WWII as a Tail Gunner in a B24, flying 37 missions in the Pacific Theater. Longtime employee of Colwell Press. Survived by best friend and wife, Lee; children, Sam of Oceana CA and Pete (Lisa) of Eden Prairie MN; 4 beautiful granddaughters, Amy and Randi of Oceana CA and Shelby and Danielle of Eden Prairie MN; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Rest in Peace Smoky. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cremation Society of MN 952-924-4100 Star Tribune Minneapolis Minnesota published on April 20, 2014
