Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent May 1977 David G. Pritchett, 32, of Raymond Drive was killed Tuesday in a construction accident near Ainsworth, reportedly when a heavy crane fell on him. Services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Robert Foster officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. A rosary will be recited Thursday at 7 p.m. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Mr. Pritchett was born April 2, 1945, at O'Neill to Al and Eileen Pritchett. He worked in Council Bluffs, Iowa, before moving to Grand Island. He served in the Army in the Vietnam War and returned to Grand Island aftr his discharge. He married Marilyn Ann Hauser on March 2, 1968 in Grand Island. He last was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Reese Construction Co. He was a member of the Catholic Church and F.O.E. Aerie No. 378. Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Lisa and Kelli; three brothers, Raymond of Lincoln, Howard of O'Neill and Francis of Texas, and two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Whaley of Clearwater and Mrs. Sharron Sorrells of O'Neill. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
