Husband of Hazel L. (Ralya) Hammond (1931-1972). Vernon and Hazel were married on September 13, 1952 in Ypsilanti, Washtenaw, Michigan. Vernon was the son of Leon Miles Hammond and Cerilla (Cox) Hammond. He was a Veteran of the US Army in WWII.
