"Edward Francis Huttenhoff, 91, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 at his home. He was born in El Dorado, Kansas on August 12th, 1923 a son of the late Otto & Henrietta Huttenhoff. Edward has lived six years in Tucson, AZ and thirty four in Waverly, TN before living the last nine years here in Cleveland. He is of the Protestant faith and a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Cleveland. Edward was an honorably discharged veteran of World War II where he was stationed in the Coast Guard on the LST 767 South Pacific as a Petty Officer for three and one half years. He worked as an Advertising Manager for El Dorado Times and Fremont Guide & Tribune. Edward faithfully served on the Humphrey County Election Commission Board, Cattleman's Association, Boy Scouts of America Board of Review and American Angus Association. Edward was a member of the American Legion and listed with the Library of Congress for his service in WWII. He was an avid golfer once winning the Kansas State Golf Tournament. Edward not only enjoyed golf but enjoyed sharing his passion for the sport by teaching others. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son Greg Huttenhoff. Edward leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of sixty seven years Evelyn Louise Huttenhoff, one son and daughter-in-law Brad & Debbie Huttenhoff, two sisters Phyllis Menard and Mary Ann Farmer, one brother Jim Huttenhoff, three grandchildren Valerie Capps, Stephanie Moody and Stephen Huttenhoff, six great grandchildren Paige Moody, Parker Moody, Audra Capps, Adelynn Capps, Aiden Huttenhoff and Brandon Rodriguez. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members, church family and a host of special friends. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, February 7th, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church located at 161 2nd Street NE in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Jen Newell and the Reverend Cliff Hudson officiating." Companion Funeral Home and the Cody family are honored to assist the Huttenhoff family with his arrangements.
