Bio

Martha was the wife of Thomas McMichael II (1776-1825). She was the mother of Mary "Polly," Sarah, Matthew, Lucille "Lucy," Robert, Thomas, John Cornelius, James and Margaret McMichael. Martha was the daughter of Matthew and Lucy (Turner) McDowell; her father was an early settler of what was then Fallowfield Township, by 1785, settling on Tract 819, just north of present day Atlantic, Pennsylvania. Siblings who settled in the area were Robert and John McDowell.
