March 18, 1930 — April 27, 2018 Sue Marie Walker, 88, of Burnet, passed away April 27, 2018. She was born March 18, 1930, in Odessa to David Albert Bruton and Lima Dee (Burns) Bruton. Sue grew up and spent her childhood in San Antonio, where she later met and married Howard Walker. They moved to Burnet in 1953. For almost 60 years, Sue was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was active in many things, including teaching Sunday School and playing the piano. For many years Sue was employed by Hamilton Valley Management as an apartment manager. She also was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star. During the latter part of her life, she enjoyed traveling with her brother Tommy and his wife Claudie. Sue is survived by her brother Tommy Bruton and his wife Claudie of Alvarado, and also by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Howard, son Randy, brother David, and sister Kathryn. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, May 4, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Lindley officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
