Arnold "Fritz" Decker, 79, Athens, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999 in the Hospice Unit of St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. He was born Dec. 29, 1919 in the Town of Bern, the son of the late William and Theresa(Gregorius) Decker. He married Edma Mae Marggi on Aug, 2, 1941 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Milwaukee. She survives. Decker farmed in theTown of Bern until he retired and moved to Athens in 1971. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, berry picker andsheepshead player. He is survived by his wife, Edma Mae, and children, Wayne Decker, Rib Mountain, Gerald "Fuzzy" Decker, Willow, Alaska, Beverly Boris, Milan, Russ Decker, Weston, and Randy and Mark Decker both of Athens; 12 grandchildren and 12 gret-grandechildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Decker; his parents; brothers Art,Ed, Norbert and Victor; and sisters Ellenore Wahlford and Mildred Bollech. A funeral mass will be celetrated at 11 a.m.Friday, Nov. 19 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. The Rev. Randy Olsonwill preside.Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens.
