Services for Carol Lavendusky Henderson, 75, of Temple will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Temple with the Rev. Steve Sauser officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple. Mrs. Henderson died Sunday, March 1, at a local hospital. She was born Dec. 5, 1939, to Louis and Lessie Klecka Lavendusky in Temple. She graduated from Temple High School in 1957. She attended Durham Business College. She worked in the family business, Lavendusky Grocery Store. She bought the business from her mother and ran it for 10 years. She then went to work for Manpower Inc. as a staffing specialist. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jeffrey Ryan Henderson. Survivors include her husband, Clifton Henderson of Temple; a sister, Jacqueline Sanderson of Temple; three sons, Cliff Henderson and Dennis Henderson, both of Temple, and Jeff Henderson of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s School Trust Fund, 1018 S. Seventh St., Temple, TX 76504. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple; a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
