Herald Coaster, May 12, 1997: Funeral services for Edward M. Sembera, 90, of Sugar Land, will be held on Wed., May 14, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sugar Land, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. (FM 2218 and Hwy. 59) in Rosenberg. He was born on May 7, 1907 in Shiner to R.F. Sembera and Adela Janish Sembera. He passed away on May 11, 1997 at his home in Sugar Land. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following his tour of duty in the Navy, Edward moved to Houston where he was a home builder for thirty years. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.F. and Adela Sembera; one sister; and four brothers. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lillie Gajewski Sembera of Sugar Land; a daughter, Shirley Roy of Sugar Land; and a grandson, Darryl Roy of Sugar Land.
