Myrta Alice Lambert Lewis died after midnight Nov 17, 1922, after giving birth to a daughter whom she named Myrta Alice. The day of the funeral for Myrta Alice Lambert Lewis, Willie and John Green and Myrta's older children rode in a wagon to the graveyard. It was windy, cold and raining. The cemetery was not far from Farmersville in the South West direction. It was on the old McKinney road. The cemetery in that area is the Huson cemetery. Myrta Alice and her baby girl, who died in 1924 were buried in the Huson cemetery. There are no markers showing where they are buried. Willie Lambert Green was with her sister when she died. It was a bitter cold November night and Willie found some remnants of blue satin material to make Myrta a pair of slippers to be buried in. She could not stand the thought of her sister being buried without something on her feet.
