George's father was John Blair, 1742- 1812 from Antrium, Ulster Ireland mother was Martha Ann Robertson. Johnson's father was Col. Robert Blair married to Isabella Rankin. . In about 1798, George arrived in America from Ireland. He lived in Anson County, NC and married Elizabeth Yarbrough. George with bride Elizabeth and her mother and father, Elizabeth and Joseph Yarbrough, travelled to live in Laurens County, GA. . In 1801, George's son Joseph is born in Laurens County. In 1806, George's daughter Millie is born. By 1807, George and his father-in-law are named as charter members of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Dublin, GA. The Laurens County Legal records are full of Joseph Yarbrough incidents as a Grand Juror and a few items listed for George. The last Laurens County record for George was around 1821. . On December 28, 1923 in Jackson County, Joseph Blair marries a neighbor's daughter, Elizabeth Stockton. Sometime after that, Millie Blair marries Amon Yarbrough and had children. .
