Bio

Louis E. Kramr, 75, of Houston, formerly of West, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2006 in Houston surrounded by his loving family. A rosary will be recited 6 p.m. Sunday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, followed by a visitation until 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Vincent Chacko as celebrant. Military Graveside Rites will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery conducted by West V.F.W. Post No. 4819 Louis was born in West, Texas, to the late Louis and Agnes (Bilek) Kramr. He attended St. Mary's School and graduated from West High School in 1949. Louis then attended the University of Houston where he played football and graduated with a degree in Physical Education in 1953. On January 28, 1953, he married Georgia Ann Holacka, his high school sweetheart, in West. He then joined the United States Navy serving during the Korean War in Arlington, Virginia where he worked for the National Security Agency. After his discharge he went to work at Trunkline Gas Company and the Panhandle Eastern Corporation in Houston for 33 years before retiring in 1988. Louis was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Houston. He enjoyed playing golf, wood working, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Marie; and a son, Michael Louis. Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Georgia Ann, of Houston; daughters, Judy Castille and husband, Ralph, of Midland, and Jackie McBride and husband, Gregg, of Houston; son, John Kramr and wife, Deanne, of Austin; and 10 grandchildren, Kirby, Logan, Shannon, and Rachel Castille, Aaron and Daniel McBride, and Austin, Madison, Cameron, and Colin Kramr.
