Bio
Johann was born in house 19 in the village of Valec, County Hrotovice, Kraj Fenojin, Moravia, near Trebice. Today Valec is located in the Vysocina region of the Czech Rebublic. His parents were Lukus and Katherine (Andraczek) Rerucha (spelled Rzerzucha in the Brno Archives). He was the youngest of many children born to Lukus and Katherina. On the 26th of February 1843 he married Klara Ohnoutka daughter of Frank and Marie (Brabenec) Ohnoutka from house 55 in the village of Valec. Just across the street from the house were Jan grew up. Together Jan and Klara had 10 children 3 of which died at a young age. In 1872 Jan and Klara made plans to immigrate to the United States. Unfortunately Jan passed away the 14 of Feburary, several month before they planed to depart. Jan was buried in the parish cemetery in Valec were his 3 children and many other family members are buried. On the 23 of June 1872 Klara and her 7 children (Jan, Martin, Mary, Mathew, Joseph, Thomas and Karolina) arrived in the United States. Todate I have documented over 2529 decedents of Jan and Klara in the United States.
