Obituary for Norman Edward Kerlin Rosary and Christian Burial Services for Norman Edward Kerlin, 83 of Rockdale will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale. Deacon Gus Coelho of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. Norman Edward Kerlin was born April 8, 1931 in Sandoval, Texas to Walter and Minnie (Frieske) Kerlin. He attended school in Thrall. On February 7, 1953 he and Georgia Dobias were married in Granger. They have lived in Rockdale the past 51 years. Norman along with his business partner owned and operated the Lehmann Kerlin Auto Body Shop in Rockdale, retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale. Norman passed away Sunday night, February 15, 2015 in the Scott & White Hospital in Round Rock. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Minnie Kerlin, a sister, Rose Marie Wuthrich and brother, Donald Lee Kerlin. Surviving, his wife of 62 years, Georgia Kerlin of Rockdale; two sons, Larry Kerlin and wife Donna of Thorndale, Gary Kerlin and wife Cherry of Rockdale. 8 grandchildren Heather Merz and husband Jeremy, Chris Kerlin, Robyn Kerlin and Jeff, Kalen Kerlin and Danni, Colby Kerlin, Brent Shreiner, Danielle Hasse and husband Dave, Alex Noack and wife Devan and 7 great-grandchildren Luke and Cayson Merz, Tristen Kerlin, Damian Kerlin, Jacoby Hasse, Railey and Braxton Noack. Pallbearers are Lee Parsley, Nick Gabriel, Jody Darby, Eddie Klekar, Gary Kelly, Jimmy Withrich, Alan Wuthrich. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Education Fund, P.O.
