Bio

Born and raised in Hardy County, West Virginia. Married a local boy April 6, 1904, the daughter of a farmer. Her husband's niece recalled being told that all their children had been stillborn. She had a sister named Bell(e), who was born about 1867, and three brothers, Edward, Calvin and James. Mamie died of a heart ailment. Sources include a family history and the 1880 U.S. Census, West Virginia marriage and death records.
