Clifford "Kip" Lawrence Landers passed away Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at the age of 98. Graveside service in Plano Mutual Cemetery in Plano. Clifford was born Jan. 4, 1917, to Lawrence and Eva Standefer Landers in Plano. Cliff served in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserve from 1945 to 1949. When he wasn't working in the garden after retirement from LTV Corp., Cliff could often be found in his recliner wearing one of his favorite hats, watching his beloved Texas Rangers on television. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Clarence Landers, Cecil Landers, Chester Landers and Clyde Landers; and his oldest son, Charles Lawrence Landers. Survivors: His wife of over 30 years, Helen Landers; brother, Cletis Landers; son, Craig Landers; daughter-in-law, Sandra Landers; granddaughter, Cheryl Quisenberry and husband, Robert; grandson, Curt Landers and wife, Reagan; great-grandsons, Connor, Zachary, Cooper, Tyler and Luke; and a host of other family and friends. He was also blessed with six stepchildren by marriage, Julie Bradshaw, Chris Clifton, Cynthia Finney, Teresa Launer, Laurie Sager and Jesse Clifton; eight stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
