EL CAMPO — Justin V "J.V" Ripple Jr., 71, of El Campo, died Friday, April 13,2001. He was born Sept. 9, 1929, in El Campo, to the late Justin V. Sr. and Olga Baca Ripple. He was a retired manager at Lack's Furniture Store, having served 18 years, and a member of SL Philip Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War with a rank of Corporal. He was a member of the KJT Society, the Legion of Mary, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post No. 251. Survivors: cousins and friends. Preceded in death by: parents; infant sister, Mary Josephine Ripple. Visitation will be 6 p.m. Sunday at Triska Funeral Home chapel. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 am. Monday at St. Philip Catholic Church. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Michael Petering officiating. Graveside services under the auspices of American Legion Post No. 251 will be at Holy Cross Memorial Park. Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 979- 543-3681.
