Floyd Palensky, 89, resident of High Point Village, Enumclaw, Washington died on February 10, 2015. Floyd Joseph, son of Joseph and Anna (Davis) Palensky was born October 19, 1925 in Crete, North Dakota, where he grew up farming with his family. After graduating, Floyd continued to farm. In 1947, he met and married his lifelong love, Irene Louma. Together they farmed and raised their three children. In 1967 they moved to Auburn, Washington, where Floyd worked for Boeing and the National Can Co. In 1976, they moved to Enumclaw, Washington and became active in the Sacred Heart Church. He eventually retired in 1990 from driving dump truck for Far Construction. Floyd continued to enjoy his hobbies of gardening, playing pool and old cars. In 2001 they returned to Oakes, and resided there before returning to Washington in 2003 to be closer to family and great grandbabies. Floyd and Irene shared 66 years of marriage before her death last year. He is survived by his sons, Jerry and Allen; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Irene, and a daughter Linda. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. followed by his funeral at 10:00 a.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Oakes.
