Mary was married to Matthew Donet Burns on 01 AUG 1882 by the Probate Judge in Linneus, Linn County, Missouri. Funeral Rites For Mrs. Mary Burns Thursday Funeral services for Mrs. Mary A. Burns, who died at Des Moines, will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at the Sacred Heart Church at Bevier. Burial will be made in St. Charles Cemetery. The body will arrive in Bevier Wednesday morning from Des Moines. H. G. Edwards, funeral director, will be in charge of the service. Mrs. Burns is survived by Matthew D. A message was received here Tuesday that Mrs. Mary A. Burns passed away that morning at the home of her son, Matthew, in Des Moines. She had been very ill for two months. Her daughter, Mrs. Mary Manhart of New Cambria was calling there Friday before her death. She always spent the summer here with her daughter and the many friends she has made will be grieved to know of her death. She is survived by three children. Mrs. Manhart, New Cambria, Mathew, Des Moines; John of Illinois. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock this (Thursday) morning in Bevier at the Sacred Heart church and burial was in the St. Charles cemetery. Sympathy is extended the family.
