Bio
Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 5, 1985 at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. Clifford Duane Foss, the son of Elmer and Iva (Pfost) Foss, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 28, 1916, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 1, 1985, at the age of 68 years, 7 months, and 3 days. His childhood was spent in the Aurora vicinity and he graduated from Aurora High School. He lived in California from 1936 to 1947. He served his country in World War II, I the U.S. Navy, from 1942 to 1945. On August 3, 1940, he was united in marriage to Frances Dunham, at Las Vegas, Nevada. Cliff was a member of the First Christian Church in Aurora and a member of the Lester S. Harter Post #42, of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Wilbur and Homer. Those who survive to cherish his memory are his wife, Frances; his daughter Sandra Anderson of Aurora; one brother, Lee of Grand Island; 4 sisters, Alma White of Alhambra, California, Margaret Laird of Chino, California, Maxine Enriquez of Oceanside, California and Darlene Junis of Oceanside, California; 2 granddaughters, Laurel and Lesley and many other relatives and close friends.
