Clarence Edward Davis, age 80, of Whitewright, Texas, passed away February 10, 2015. Clarence was born July 12, 1934, in Prosper, Texas, to Otis Edward and Agnes Lucille (Burleson) Davis. He married Beverly Charlene Woods on January 12, 1974, in Richardson, Texas. Clarence grew up in Plano, Texas and graduated from Plano High School. He worked for Mrs. Baird’s Bread for thirty-four years until his retirement. Clarence was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, and loved his pets. Clarence was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Davis of Whitewright, Texas; children, Karen Butler and husband, Michael Craig of Wylie, Texas, Kathy Johnson and husband John of Princeton, Texas, Cathy Conn and husband, Robert of Richardson, Texas, and Les Henry of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Shannon Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Taylor Butler, Tonya Rissmiller, Brittany Conn, Chad Henry, Nicole Henry, Ashley Conn; and great-grandchildren, Hailey, Johnathan, Payton, Kaden, Lauren, Colton, James, and Larry. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Frank Davis, son, Kevin Edward Davis and daughter Vickie Jo Davis. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 13, 2015, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.
