Rita Sindelar, 70, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at her home following a battle with cancer. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Timothy J. Hogan officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, South Sioux City. Rita was born Feb. 8, 1933, in rural Schuyler, Neb., the daughter of Adolph and Marie Spale. She graduated from Schuyler High School in 1950. She married Bud Sindelar on Oct. 25, 1950, at St. Mary's Church in Wilson, Neb. The couple lived in Siouxland the majority of their married life. They recently moved to Las Vegas. Sindelar, Rita A.
