Calvin Doskocil, 76, of Westphalia, died Monday February 2, 2015 in a Temple Hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Walter Dhanwar officiating. Burial will follow in St.Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia. Mr. Doskocil was born February 14, 1938 in Barclay to Raymond and Annie Bartek Doskocil. He lived most of his life in Westphalia. He served in the U.S. Army and married LaVoyce Punchard on September 9, 1962. He drove a truck for Ralph Wilson Plastics in Temple and in 1966 he founded Doskocil Trucking Inc. in Westphalia. He was a member of the Church of the Visitation. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Doskocil, two brothers, Leroy Doskocil and Marvin Doskocil and a sister, Irene Doskocil. He is survived by his wife, LaVoyce Punchard Doskocil of Westphalia, one son: Bobby Doskocil and wife Kim of Seaton, one daughter: Dawn Zoeller and husband Paul of Fort Mill, SC, two brothers: Raymond Doskocil and Larry Doskocil both of Westphalia, four sisters: Mary Ann Jones of Belton, Janet Kasner of Cyclone, Delores Zipperlen of Rosebud, and Josie Kleypas of Austin, and seven grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Cite: Temple Daily Telegram, Temple, Texas
