Bio

Clark E. Hogan Jr. (Lil Okie)Clark was born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma December 6th, 1942 and died un-expectantly in his home of a January 1st 2009. He served in the army in the National Guard in 1960 at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Clark moved to Eureka and married Patricia Vansteenberg in 1964. Clark received the California Governor's National Guard Commendation Award for his service with Company C 1401st Engineering Battalion (C)(A) in the 1964 floods of Humboldt and Del Norte County. His work over the years included an auto technician, truck driver and/or millwright for 30?? years at Hyester, Crown Zellerbach, Simpson Timber, Simpson Pulp and Paper, and Fox River Mills. After retiring in 2005, Clark left California and moved to Idaho where he spent most of his time four wheeling, fishing, camping, dancing, going to NASCAR races, exploring, solving the problems of the world with his big brother, patrolling his neighborhood, making friends, and most of all being grandpa. He will be remembered for his wit, promptness, honesty, his love of all things that drive fast, his laughter and most of all his sense of humor. Clark is survived by his daughters and their spouses, Debbie and Jason Johnson, and Brenda and Jaime Navarro; his grandchildren Ashley and Austin Johnson; his brothers, sisters, and their spouses; Bill (Gene) and Bobbie Hogan, Linda and Johnny Christie, Barbara and Bob Wardrip, and Rex and Diane Hogan. Clark also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents Clark and Edna Hogan, as well as his former wife Pat Hogan. At Clark's request, their will be no services, however a celebration of life on one of his favorite holidays, July 4th, at Eagle Island, Idaho.
